Ooooh lookie, I’ve been tagged! thanks Nick!
The rules:
- Link to your tagger and post these rules.
- List EIGHT random facts about yourself.
- Tag EIGHT people at the end of your post and list their names.
- Let them know they’ve been tagged.
So, here are eight things you probably didn’t know about me. Well, maybe you know some of them, but not all of them. And really, they’re more like useless facts.
- I’m reasonably allergic to insect bites. Even a little sand midge nibble winds up being a welt the size of a fifty-cent piece. A few weeks ago I got bitten by mosquitoes maybe twelve times on the ankles and arms, and it was so bad that I felt nauseous and dizzy, and my ankle was so puffy that I couldn’t put my shoes on.
- I don’t listen to the radio anymore. If it’s there in a bus or I’m in a car or something I’ll listen, but that’s it. I only recently started watching TV again when I moved to Melbourne. I don’t care. Radio is crap lately.
- I’ve recently turned in to a Pokémon nut. My Pokémon Pearl game has about 150 hours of gameplay on it. It really appeals to the side of me that digs turn-based combat games, it’s really convenient for the train, and I’m a sucker for the kwoot little animals. (OK, so some people know this about me. hee!)
- I once had better than 20/20 vision. I’m longsighted now. It’s uncomfortable to focus on something nearer than about two metres, so I wear my glasses all the time.
- I have been qualified to give some limited financial advice about deposit-related products like term deposits or whathaveyou. I may still be; I don’t know when that expires.
- In year 12 I got top in the state for one of those UNSW English tests. They gave me a shiny medal and all.
- I actually really detest it when people go to call me ‘Rain’ for short. Not fun. You can say Rae if you like.
- You can hear me in the choral bit of the Bad Luck Charms’ 2006 Christmas single, The Little Bear and The Little Punk.
Now, I’m supposed to tag eight people, but that’s probably twice my readership right now. So hopefully Chris Lawson, Christopher Turner, rimwalker, Andrew Sayer, and you, gentle reader.
